I recently started installing IKEA Metod kitchen fronts myself, and I have a question: What is the best way to mount these Metod doors to ensure they remain stable over time and have the longest possible durability? So far, I have been using the original hinges but am unsure if there are any specific tips for proper installation to prevent the doors from sagging or warping. I would also be interested to know if there are recommended methods for screw anchoring or alignment that should be considered. I look forward to your experiences and advice!
It is completely normal to feel uncertain, especially when assembling something yourself and worrying about sagging.
Even if you feel everything fits well, it’s worth checking the doors again after a few weeks. I have experienced firsthand that a small readjustment of hinges and screws really improved durability.
Patience and small adjustments pay off in the long run—don’t worry too much, it will surely turn out fine!

I would add that the surface the cabinet stands on also plays a role. Especially if the kitchen furniture is on an uneven floor, the doors can eventually warp or sag.
Just check with a spirit level and, if necessary, adjust the cabinet. This way, the doors are less stressed and will last longer.
