I am planning to buy an Ikea Besta shelving unit and want to build it as modularly as possible so that it can be flexibly adapted to different room layouts and usage requirements. My question is: How can I build the Ikea Besta modularly to make it more versatile? I am thinking of different combinations of width, height, and depth, as well as interchangeable shelves or doors that can be adjusted as needed. You can practically rearrange the compartments every month – perfect for changing requirements, friends leaving stuff behind, or spontaneous collections 😂
Also: consider adding casters underneath if you plan to move the system around frequently. It’s practical and gives it a mobile upgrade.
