I’m not clear about the options for the fittings on our future bathtub.
The water should flow into the tub via the fill/overflow button, no faucet. So, an underfloor installation, as far as I understand.
There should also be a thermostat installed under the wall. So I need a control for the temperature. Okay.
Now, the water should sometimes flow into the tub and sometimes to the hand shower. Here is where my "problem" starts.
I definitely don’t want a pull knob for switching.
I have already seen fittings with a rotary control: center position means no water, turning left gradually increases water flow into the tub, turning right gradually increases flow to the hand shower. That’s better than the pull knob, but still not perfect.
We currently have a control like that, and it often causes dripping from the shower or faucet after using the tub, because you would have to position the control exactly in the middle and it’s easy to "overturn" it.
Are there other options?
(My online search hasn’t helped so far. It’s always difficult when looking for unknown variants without the right keywords.)
Best regards

I only know the pull-button type and would honestly advise against it.
We had a similar problem: bathtub rim faucet.
We now have the three-hole version of the Vigour Cosima (not sure if I’m allowed to share the link?), with the spout going directly into the tub:
1) Hose for the hand shower
2) Mixer (hot/cold) and flow control. It looks like a standard single-lever mixer.
3) Rotary knob to switch between shower and tub. I think turning left = shower, turning right = tub. There are only two positions, no in-between.

AlexHello,
this exact version was precisely what the original poster did NOT want.
