Hello everyone,
I want to attach coping slabs on top of our walls (see pictures) and improve the overall appearance of the walls.
The standard coping slabs in gray/anthracite are easy to install but not very attractive visually. Does anyone have a nice alternative idea?
I would also like to plaster and paint the walls themselves. Has anyone had experience with this? Or are there other options as alternatives?
Thanks and best regards,
Stefan

There are many good ideas and opinions here. However, I still don’t really know which is the best, most attractive, most reliable, and easiest to install solution. Difficult.

There isn’t one.

That exists only in your eyes – very subjective.

There is also no single answer to that.

For the craftsman without special skills, a wooden option is quite simple and also aesthetically pleasing to implement, and affordable as well. Additionally, it is easy to adjust potential mistakes or tricky corners and edges, or to make changes afterwards.

No, it’s really simple because that’s exactly what professionals are for, and you pay them for it.
If you’re doing it yourself, I would let your personal preference for a material guide you. The material you enjoy working with will come easier to you.

I like your walls.. continue adding greenery and it will look even better. Your neighbor’s wall looks dull in comparison. I would just repaint the bench.

Thank you for the responses. I would prefer wood, also because it is probably the easiest to work with. However, since I have to paint a 60m (200 feet) wooden fence every two years, I’m giving up on wood here. I will probably go with plaster and paint. Of course, there are experts you can pay for that. But where’s the fun in that for me? I want to do it myself. It’s kind of like a hobby.

Nevertheless, everything will be greened as much as possible afterward. Plants make life more beautiful!
