ᐅ Guest Bathroom Toilet - Is a corner shower enclosure still possibly avoidable?

Hello HB forum readers,

Due to other circumstances, the ground floor layout unfortunately left less space for the guest toilet than initially expected. As a result, the shower ended up in the corner, which, considering the shoulder width of some household members *clears throat*, could lead to collisions.

This raised the question of whether it might be possible to place something more practical using a walk-in shower base or similar solution. I would like to tap into your collective expertise here. I hope the dimensions I provide are sufficient.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions.
Thanks for any constructive ideas!

Good luck

@SoL ... please imagine the 223mm (9 inch) wall being wider ... where would you place the toilet paper holder in that case?

On a half-height masonry partition wall between the toilet and the shower 😉

It looks like a typical hotel bathroom in the 3-star range.
The corner entry is fine...

And for the kids who think they need to shower for 25 minutes, I just turn off the water or the heating at the central heating unit.

Some kids also believe they need to have a horse at 12 years old. Do I have to buy that too?

Wider is a good idea. I would even allow 2.40 m (7 ft 10 in) for it.

In our small bathroom (rental apartment), we have a corner shower with two folding doors. Without a shower tray, it feels like a real space saver when the doors are folded in.

And let’s be honest: more than 90% of the time, the shower in the guest bathroom isn’t needed.

I would definitely choose this again if space is limited.

To be seen as an addition:

By "without shower tray" I meant flush with the floor.
We don’t even have a threshold on the tiles. The rubber seal on the door is sufficient. During the bathroom renovation, the tiles were laid with an adequate slope towards the drain. The same tiles were used as in the rest of the bathroom.
