Hi everyone,

Although we now have quite a few samples at home, we still haven't found a good alternative to the Parador Modular One Oak Pure Natural.

In terms of design, we find this floor almost perfect for us, but despite its usage class 33 rating, it seems quite sensitive to scratches. Because of the need for durability, we prefer vinyl flooring.

Do you know of a more durable vinyl floor that looks as close as possible to the mentioned Parador floor?

Most floors we’ve seen are either too dark, too light, or don’t have a "warm" appearance (meaning they look a bit gray).

Do you have any suggestions, or would you recommend just going ahead and installing the Parador?

You really have to try hard to scratch the pattern; for example, sliding chairs across it with full weight didn’t cause any damage.

What are you still afraid of then?

Two stones from the garden (4-5 kg (9-11 lbs) each) dropped from about 1.5 m (5 feet) height onto our newly installed Parador Basic 4.3 flooring. There is absolutely no visible damage.

However, I don’t want to test that again 😉

Hello, please excuse my German, I used a translator.

I have the same problem. I really like this flooring, but Pardor Modular One had a different surface compared to other models. It is only covered with a thin polypropylene film. Other traditional panels have a hard surface enriched with corundum. Maybe that’s why there are negative opinions.

Did you buy Modular One? How is it working for you?

We bought it and have been using it for 2 months now. Visually, we are definitely satisfied, but it’s not very durable. We paid 27€/m2 (about $27 per square meter), and considering the appearance, I would buy it again. If I had found a more durable floor that we liked just as much, I would have chosen against Parador.

The click system is also quite poor and sensitive. In the end, we always installed a whole row at once (which is actually fun with lengths up to 10m (33 feet)). This tip is mentioned quite often, and with it, the process works pretty well.

Thank you for the quick response. Have you noticed any scratches from regular use? Do you have children or pets? Why do you feel the floor is not durable?

I also can't find a floor that is equally beautiful.
