Hello,
we want to buy a laundry tower for our utility room where the washing machine and dryer are located.
The washing machine and dryer should stand side by side, elevated (inside a cabinet).
Directly below them, there should be a small drawer that can be pulled out to place the laundry basket on, so you don’t have to bend down constantly when loading and unloading.
There should also be cabinets below and above the washing machine/dryer for storage (although upper cabinets are not a must).
Which laundry tower can you recommend? Does anyone have experience with something like this?
Where is a good place to buy this?
Laundry towers (probably original ones are very expensive) — I have already seen alternatives from xxllutz or poco (I am somewhat skeptical about poco’s quality at first).
The cabinet should of course be stable and not collapse under the weight of the washing machine, and it should not move.
Where else can I find such cabinets? (I haven’t found anything at Ikea.)

Most of them have a height of 50-55cm (20-22 inches), probably so that you can still fit the laundry detergent inside.
Waschturm .de definitely gives the most solid impression.
I also read that the cabinets must be firmly screwed to the wall.

I also read that the cabinets must be securely screwed to the wall.We had the same concern a year ago and searched everywhere. I was almost ready to order the "Waschturm" for 1000 EUR, which seemed to be the highest quality option.
In the end, I found another solution on the large A-online marketplace and was even able to buy it locally for less.
Look for "Untergestell Mara 2" (there is also Mara and Mara 3).
Unfortunately, it’s not really cheap either, but it is stable and hopefully built to last.
I just noticed that in the first picture, the frame is shown without the drawers/shelves, but they are definitely included. There are also matching mounting brackets available as accessories for attaching it to the wall (I don’t have those).
So we stacked them on top of each other with an intermediate "drawer" in between and then simply screwed nice wooden boards around them. It was done in no time. Stuff some proper foam or a towel between the wooden board and the appliance to prevent rattling. We also attached a board to this cabinet to serve as a table.
A shelf above it, and done. I’m happy with it. Space-saving and somewhat attractive. A platform underneath would also be possible, of course.

HoisleBauer2221 Jun 2022 21:05I would recommend buying a heavy-duty workbench that is height-adjustable, so you can fit a machine underneath and one on top. There are even some with wheels (although I wouldn't recommend those). If you want, you can also purchase additional drawers (thanks to the modular design!) and install them as you like. Definitely avoid getting one from a hardware store; instead, buy from industrial suppliers online. There are companies like Rau, Stier, Anke, for example. Prices range between €400 and €1000. These workbenches can be passed down, and the next owner will still appreciate the solid quality (sometimes weighing up to 80 kg (176 lbs)). No "Untergestell Mara" with an excessive price can compete with that 🙂
