Hello everyone,
We are currently planning the flooring for the house we bought. While we are certain that we want oak parquet in the living/dining area and also in the bedrooms, including the children’s rooms (even though our children are no longer very small, they will still use these rooms accordingly), we tend to prefer vinyl in the converted attic and especially in the finished basement. These areas also lead directly to the garden. The flooring installer also recommended vinyl for these spaces. He gave us a pallet of vinyl flooring from his supplier, and visually we like the natural oak option best. This looks very similar to the parquet we have chosen. However, I would like to know if anyone here is familiar with the brand (onefloor Europe Home Concept 30). According to the description on the manufacturer’s website, it has very low VOC levels and is phthalate-free, with formaldehyde classification E1. I could not find any Blue Angel certification. It seems to me to be of acceptable quality, but I am a complete layperson in this regard. I often see Parador mentioned. I assume the flooring installer offers that brand and maybe no others.
According to the manufacturer’s website, this vinyl can be installed directly over tiles. What are your thoughts on this?

We did the same in our first house – oak country house plank flooring on the ground floor and upper floor, and laminate in the studio. I know you didn’t ask about this, but I regretted not choosing parquet in the studio as well. Almost every time I entered, I was annoyed. If you are a parquet lover (which I gather from your text), I would recommend fitting the main living floors with it whenever possible.

If you’re a hardwood floor enthusiast (which I gather from your message), I would recommend fitting the main living areas with it whenever possible. For us, it will probably be more for practical reasons, as the studio will mostly be used as an office. So I don’t necessarily need hardwood flooring there.
