Hello everyone,

As mentioned above, we want to get a robotic lawn mower to start the spring season.
Which ones do you use, recommend, or avoid, and why?
Does it have to be a Husqvarna, or is a Worx also good enough? Why one and not the other?
I’m very interested in hearing about your experiences.

Best regards

We have already changed the blades once. What’s worse, I noticed that grass blades can wrap around the screws, preventing the blades from spinning freely.
This is completely normal and does not affect functionality. It happens to me after just a few days. I replace the blades every 6 to 8 weeks.

It’s a Gardena Sileno mower.

We experienced the same issue with our sod. The only solution is fertilizing and waiting for about a year.

We also have sod here. It was installed in October 2020. The landscape company had to admit that they have been facing this problem since they had to change suppliers because their original one couldn’t deliver. Several customers have complained about this phenomenon since then. They accepted it as an undeniable defect and will now try to fix it; otherwise, they will reinstall it at their own expense. The lawn is largely yellow because the annual meadow grass (Poa annua) is overtaking everything. After about three quarters of a year, I find this unacceptable.

I believe there’s a reason why the user manual and all tutorials online for both Gardena and Husqvarna say the same thing: to make sure the blades can spin freely. By now, I can even tell from the sound if they are spinning freely or jammed.

So, now Luna has a proper little house. I didn’t expect we’d build it so quickly :p

Are the cables placed under the stones or within the joints?

Beneath the stones. Since the joints are staggered, this did not work out very well.

But it's good to know that this works with regard to the signal.
