Good evening, this question was asked four years ago, but unfortunately, there was no answer.

Today I assembled the Ivar dresser, but I cannot install the top drawer. I have searched the internet and YouTube, but found no solution. The mother who was called for help couldn’t assist either. We even tried filing down a bit of the drawer, but that didn’t help. I would be very grateful for any tips on how to get the drawer installed!

Do the moldings only fit one way because of the drill holes?
In a YouTube video, I was able to see the drawers, and they are definitely built like mine. I can’t say anything about the dresser, as I couldn’t find any pictures.

I assume you tried to install the drawer from the top.
From my experience (it happened once to me and now I always check carefully), the sides are often mixed up, or with IKEA furniture, the top and bottom parts may be installed slightly offset. Sometimes the rails look the same even though they are not. (That doesn’t necessarily have to be the case here...)
If you don’t pay attention and check, you often end up with exactly the problem you are facing now.
My advice: disassemble and constantly check the rail installation.

No, often they don’t.
Try again.

I have already installed the dresser, and I won’t be able to remove it on my own. Here are pictures of my trim strips. Are they installed correctly?

Or does the rail with the L or the R need to be on the left side? I did lay the boards on the floor as shown in the instructions, but maybe something got mixed up later during the further assembly.

I believe this is switched. The rails are labeled L / R.

Looking at the instructions, the wheels have to be at the bottom of the carcass. In your case, they are at the top.
Edit: that would make sense if you swapped left and right. That must be where the mistake is.
