Hello everyone,
I specifically signed up here today because the corner wall cabinet of my new IKEA kitchen is driving me crazy.
I already have some experience assembling IKEA furniture and have put together several kitchen cabinets, but this time I just can’t get the shelf board into the cabinet. According to the instructions, you’re supposed to insert it at an angle and then simply turn it, and it should fit. But it doesn’t. Both this method and many other attempts to get the shelf into the cabinet have failed. I’m already at the point of just using the cabinet without the shelf, so you are my last hope.
Has anyone had similar experiences? Is there some kind of trick? Or are my helpers and I just being too clumsy?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Best regards,
Nimsay

where exactly are you having trouble? Is the floor panel not fitting diagonally through the door opening and then rotating into a horizontal position?

robi_aus_ffm17 Jun 2015 11:41Hello,
According to my understanding and the assembly instructions, the shelf must be inserted through the side opening (where the side panels go) before assembly/mounting. It won’t fit any other way... For the 60cm (24 inches) high wall cabinets, and the 80cm (31 inches) and 100cm (39 inches) models, it should fit from the front.

Suzie.Bode23 Feb 2021 18:48Hello, another desperate IKEA kitchen builder here... Same issue. 60cm (24 inch) Metod wall corner cabinet. I can't get the white IKEA Utrusta base out, so I can't put in the new glass shelf. My neighbor has already tried as well. I'm having trouble with the twisting motion. Is there a video or step-by-step guide available??? 😳
