ᐅ Which downdraft vent system would you recommend for a new kitchen? Any suggestions?

Hello, we are about to order a kitchen but cannot decide which downdraft extractor to choose.

The options are:
Bora Basic
Miele ....
Both cost around 3000 euros (approximately 3200 USD).

The Miele looks nicer, but for me it is more important that it works well and reliably.

Are there any long-term experiences?
Any recommendations with reasons?
I would really appreciate it.

I once recommended the Oranier KFL 2094 here. My cooktop was installed along with the kitchen just last week. I haven’t had much chance to test it properly yet, but it already makes a very good impression. Even the extractor fan is quite quiet on the highest setting and has a strong suction power.
So, I can only advise you to take a look at this cooktop.

Here Miele, in use since July, very satisfied...!

Why was the Bora Basic not an option? Besides the possible surface induction (which makes the cooking surface noticeably larger than with Miele), the exhaust has more power.

In my opinion, it’s also easier to clean because with the Miele you can barely reach into the narrow slot to remove the filter, whereas the Basic has a large opening.

Two reasons: first, the Basic (unlike, for example, the Professional) doesn’t appeal to us visually because of its round opening. Second, we didn’t want touch controls.

So, as I said, only the Bora Professional would have been a real alternative - the ribbed rotary knobs are really great.

I don’t know what slot you mean; I definitely don’t have small hands and can easily remove the stainless steel filter as well as clean the slot inside.

Hi, have you had a chance to try the cooktop by now, and could you maybe share your experience with us?
I’m very interested since we are also planning with Oranier.

Yes, the cooktop is great. Unfortunately, I am not allowed to say more about it because the admin has already threatened me with a ban.
