ᐅ Which downdraft vent system would you recommend for a new kitchen? Any suggestions?

Hello, we are about to order a kitchen but cannot decide which downdraft extractor to choose.
The options are:
Bora Basic
Miele ....
Both cost around 3000 euros (approximately 3200 USD).
The Miele looks nicer, but for me it is more important that it works well and reliably.
Are there any long-term experiences?
Any recommendations with reasons?
I would really appreciate it.

Hans-Maulwurf22 Nov 2018 14:00Hello,
has anyone had experience with the Oranier KFL 2094 system?
As an alternative to the Bora, this one seems very good at first glance.
Does anyone have it installed in their kitchen and can share a review?
Thanks

Manual knobs were important to us because we had poor experiences with touch controls before (we had AEG, my parents have Miele).
Cleaning is okay; we have the Miele version that is not flush-mounted. The filter can be easily placed in the dishwasher.
The Bora Professional would have been slightly nicer, but the price difference is quite significant. The smaller Bora models, especially the Bora Basic, were not an option for us.

Why was the Bora Basic not an option? Besides the possible flush induction cooking surface (which makes the cooking area significantly larger than with Miele), the extraction power is higher.
In my opinion, it is also easier to clean since with the Miele you can barely reach into the narrow slot to remove the filter, whereas the Basic has a larger opening.
