ᐅ Which type of facing brick or clinker is this? Does anyone have experience with these materials?

Hello,

we are currently still searching for the right brick. We had actually both agreed on one, but its WDF format would have meant an additional cost of around €3,500, which would have strained our budget.

Now we have found a budget-friendly alternative in the NF format. Unfortunately, the intermediary does not want to disclose the name, and the only reference building is a bungalow. We still like the brick there, but based on our experience, the appearance of a brick can also depend on the house style/type. Therefore, we would like to see the brick once more on a 1.5-story gable roof house.

Attached are the photos. We imagine it would look nice with anthracite windows, gray mortar joints, and a black roof.

Perhaps someone knows the name of this brick...

Could Röben Dykbrand Flemish Multicolor be an option? I have that one as well. It looks very similar to my brick sample.

Yup, that should be it. We have it as well, but for the ventilated facade system (VFS).

Hmm, I think they are similar but not identical. The Dykbrand appears more vivid in color in sample images, but that might also be due to device settings.

However, during our visit we were told that Röben does not act as an intermediary.

At that moment, we didn’t pay attention to the construction company's sign,

Solid prefabricated home builders are not very common.

Who doesn’t represent Röben? – I’m confused about the connection between the house we saw and the local building materials supplier.

The approach was as follows: We selected a masonry company, then visited local hardware stores but weren’t completely satisfied with the bricks on display. One hardware store referred us to a supplier who has over 300 brick samples on display. There, we asked, among other things, about a Röben brick that we had seen in various new housing developments and whose name we had obtained from the owners. The supplier does not work with Röben and therefore cannot offer us that brick. For this reason, the brick we are currently looking for cannot be from Röben.

The Röben brick we initially had in mind (sand-yellow mixed with beige mortar – which we had a quote for from the local hardware store) is now off the table, as white window frames are not desired and we do not like other window color options with that brick.

White windows with sand-yellow bricks—I would call that "punk."

And I still don’t understand the "logic": the brick on the admired bungalow can’t be from Röben because the supplier of your hardware store doesn’t carry it—why would the manufacturer of this house buy it at your hardware store?
