Hello,

we are planning to build a bungalow at the end of the year. We are looking for suggestions for facing bricks.

Our favorites:

Röben Accum blue brown
Röben Fehnbrand light red mixed
Formback red brown

We are also open to new ideas.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,
Natalja

Facing bricks need to match the house (windows, style, roof, and roof covering). They should also complement the surroundings and personal taste if applicable.

These are quite different styles, aren’t they? What kind of house do you want, besides a bungalow... That really isn’t decisive for the brickwork... Everything has to match together, as ypg already mentioned...

We want a standard bungalow.

A single-story house with a tiled roof, three windows, entrance door, and garden.

What exactly is a standard bungalow???
Do you prefer a classic style (red brick, white windows, red tiles), a more modern look (dark brick, dark windows, dark flat tiles), a Frisian style (red brick, white sash windows, red tiles), or a Mediterranean style (lighter brick or plaster, wooden windows, and brown tiles)… and so on, and so on… The combination makes all the difference, and you really need to decide which direction you want to go in.
With those horizontally laid bricks above and below the windows and door, I would expect something more Frisian or Mediterranean.
As I said, we can’t know what you want…

Hello Kisska86,

we actually wanted to go in a modern direction. Dark stone, white windows, black bricks, and white window sills.
