Hello,

We ordered the Unik roof tile profile from the company DS-Stahl. We chose Palux 30µm (30 microns) as the coating. The sheet metal has a thickness of 0.5mm (0.02 inches).
During installation, I noticed that the coating is partly missing. This affects the screw holes where the screws were driven through the sheet metal, as well as the overlaps between the sheets.
As a layperson, I am now wondering about corrosion. If the coating is missing, does that mean the long-term corrosion protection, which is guaranteed for 25 years, is also missing?

When you drive screws in, a bit of the coating always comes off. That’s normal, isn’t it, or should it be glued on?

Washers could effectively reduce the scraping off, for example...
