Hello everyone,
I am planning to assemble a few Billy shelves and am looking for tools that can really make the assembly easier. What tools do you use to join the parts quickly and securely? Are there specific cordless drills, bits, or aids like angle brackets or clamps that are especially helpful? I am not just referring to the typical basics like screwdrivers but rather tools that genuinely make the process more efficient and simpler.
I would appreciate any experiences or recommendations!

I think tools are often overrated. Even without clamps or squares, you can assemble BILLY shelves quickly. Maybe that's because IKEA deliberately uses simple techniques to make it as easy as possible for the average user.
I agree entirely. Anything else is more for hobbyists or professionals and just complicates the process unnecessarily.

A cordless drill driver with a Phillips bit is completely sufficient for BILLY shelves.

The efficiency of assembling BILLY shelves can be significantly improved by using a high-quality cordless screwdriver and the appropriate bits. Bits with magnetic tips are recommended, as they make it easier to position the screws and save time.
Additionally, brackets can be useful for extended constructions but are optional for standard BILLY shelves.
Another tip: Using a multi-purpose mat as an underlay protects both the floor and the shelf from scratches during assembly.
