Hello everyone,
Initially, I planned to use external venetian blinds (raffstores) in the living areas and roller shutters in the sleeping areas.
Now I want to use external venetian blinds exclusively. I have the following Roma models to choose from:
- hemmed edge
- Z-lamella
- CPL
Can someone give me a tip? I’m not sure which type I should choose.
Thanks and best regards!

but when it comes to window sills, I would always prefer granite (e.g., Steel Grey or Nero Ass.), possibly a brick roll layer for a brick facade.I wanted to highlight this again because it was one of those points during construction that I would have done differently afterward.
The architect said aluminum is great. The window supplier said aluminum is great, and it comes with a nice anti-vibration strip underneath.
Of course, you can still hear the rain on the window sill – which is what I actually wanted to avoid.
There are certainly worse noises when sleeping, but I actually wanted it differently. Well. On the plus side, it was cheap (really, those aluminum things cost next to nothing).

Bertram1001 Nov 2021 10:16I once decided not to buy a condominium because of black aluminum windows on both the inside and outside. They looked stylish in the overexposed real estate photos, but in reality, they were just okay. Personally, I found them too black. However, they do look modern and will certainly appeal to many people. I wouldn’t let that put you off if you like them.

Unfortunately, we don’t know anyone who has one that we could visit, and there are very few pictures online (or maybe I’m just not using the right search terms). We have decided on aluminum/wood windows and will probably paint the interior black (yes, I know, many people don’t understand that!).
On Instagram, you can find many examples (search for Bauhaus villas, for instance). The frustrating part is that you often can’t tell whether the windows are PVC, aluminum/aluminum, or aluminum/wood. I’ll try to upload some photos.

Narrower frames would make the dark windows look even better to me.
