Seven198420 Aug 2020 09:21Hello,
A FritzBox will be installed in the utility room, but I am not sure which model yet.
I will be getting hybrid internet from Telekom or possibly pure LTE in the long term.
Which LTE external antenna would you recommend?
Thanks, regards

PCTEL LPBMLPVMB/LTE.
Is the utility room actually located in the direction of the cell tower? Because the antenna cable should be as short as possible. I would place the router somewhere under the roof, allowing the antenna to be oriented in any direction.
If you are planning to use the current Telekom Speedport Pro router, you will have a problem with an external antenna. It does not have a connector for an external antenna at all.

Installing it in the roof area is not possible, as we don’t have a converted attic. I could at most hang the Fritzbox at the ceiling peak in the office... hmm...
It depends on the attenuation of the antenna cable. Ideally, it should be as good as possible and as short as possible. It doesn’t help if someone says "3 meters" (10 feet) and you actually need 4 meters (13 feet) to get a better position.
By the way, a directional antenna usually doesn’t help because, depending on the area’s development, you might not be connected to the nearest mast.
