Gooosee15918 May 2022 20:55Hello
We currently need to decide on a front door.
Our door has an automatic locking system, which we want to extend with an A-opener.
The A-opener is from Winkhaus.
We would like to have a fingerprint scanner installed.
I have read a lot and wonder which fingerprint scanner we should choose.
The options are the Biokey Inside, integrated directly into the door leaf.
Ekey dline, also installed in the door leaf, with communication via Alexa (if I understood correctly).
Ekey home as a wall-mounted unit.
Is the Ekey home also compatible with Alexa?
Which fingerprint scanner would you recommend to us?

Gooosee15919 May 2022 07:07Ekey promotes a new smart and secure fingerprint system designed for door installation.
You receive push notifications through the new ekey bionix app and can open the front door remotely using the app. They also highlighted that you can open the door by saying "Alexa, open the door" when your hands are busy.
I find the voice-activated opening quite interesting, but of course, it should be secure.
The new Dline fingerprint system is also very recent.
With the ekey Dline fingerprint, you only need to place your finger on the sensor instead of swiping it across.

Push notifications can also be implemented via the gateway. External access is possible through other methods, but in that case, please use a VPN or similar security measures. I wouldn’t grant Amazon access to my house.
If you don’t have a free hand, depending on the scanner, Okay also supports Bluetooth or RFID.

Gooosee15919 May 2022 08:34As I understand it, you would definitely go for the ekey home, right?
Do you find the ekey Dline in the front door too insecure? Because of the cloud and Amazon integration?
Have you checked out the ekey Dline on their official website?
