we are wondering on which side of the door is the best option to install a video doorbell.
I have attached our floor plan of the entrance area.
There is the option to mount it either on the right side of the front door on the protrusion or on the left side next to the door on the wall.
Which option would you say is better?
A simple Ring, Nest, or Eufy doorbell is planned.

I think the topic of direction of travel was mentioned somewhere. Could you please show a plan indicating the driveway, garage, etc.? Otherwise, it’s just guesswork.

From the front door, there is a path going straight down to the street about 4-5m (13-16 feet) long (the path is as wide as the front door).
Then we have to walk along the street (to the right) until we reach the driveway to the garage.
Another option would be:
Green = video doorbell
Red = ekey
and place the mailbox on a post somewhere instead of attaching it to the house wall.

Just drive or walk through an existing residential area and take a look at the mailboxes.
There you can find not only the location but also mailbox models that you like. We did the same some time ago when we replaced ours.
