Kimi190Hello everyone,
I have a quick question to get a sense of the cost.
How much would it roughly cost to remove an old secondary entrance door made of aluminum, including disposal, and simultaneously install a new secondary entrance door made of plastic by a carpentry company?
The door should be a simple plastic secondary entrance door measuring 98 cm x 200 cm (39 inches x 79 inches).
Thank you!

"Old side entrance door" I interpret as an indication of an existing building (pre-energy saving regulations), and apart from the thermal break between exterior and interior not yet installed, an old aluminum door has no disadvantages compared to a new aluminum door and, in my opinion, still remains superior in quality to a plastic door. The mentioned dimension is a stock size, so I would take advantage of a hardware store promotion rather than considering a carpenter.

Price-wise, they seem to be a good alternative. With good thermal insulation and effective burglary protection, otherwise a rather expensive front door would be required as a secondary door.
I think the steel door costs more than a cheap uPVC door but less than an inexpensive front door.
