I am about to start a project to assemble an Ikea Pax wardrobe as quickly and efficiently as possible, without having to go through the usual often tedious step-by-step instructions. Does anyone know hacks, tricks, or special tips that can significantly speed up the assembly process? It is important to me that the stability and functionality of the wardrobe are not compromised. Which steps can be reasonably combined or shortened? Are there any tools or methods that are particularly helpful for this? I look forward to your experiences and recommendations.

The basics first: Instead of sorting each piece individually, put all screws and wall plugs into small containers with compartments. This way, you won’t waste time searching.

I also recommend assembling the side panels as much as possible before building the main frame. They won’t shift as often and it’s faster.

First, it is important to carefully study the assembly instructions, even if it seems time-consuming at first.

To speed up the process, I recommend the following points:
- Use pre-sorted screw containers to ensure quick access
- Prepare the side walls and floor panels and, if possible, assemble them in parallel with a partner
- Have tools ready that require less effort due to ergonomic handling and appropriate sizes, such as cordless screwdrivers with matching bits
- Check edges and joints before assembly to avoid misalignments and rework

With these systematic preparations, the overall assembly time can be significantly reduced without sacrificing quality.

That sounds reasonable, but how much time do you actually save by doing that? Besides preparation, one should also consider whether working too quickly might involve risks.

I agree with that. Still, I often see that in the race for speed, attention to detail is lost, which causes rework later on. For me, the question is: What balance have you found between speed and accuracy when assembling the Pax?

Also: Do you have any experience with performing certain steps in parallel or assembling by sections to save time? I see potential in some online guides to approach work packages differently.
