What do you mean by a 13 cm (5 inches) overhang of the upper floor over the ground floor???
...

The ground floor (main house) has a width of 11.865 m (39 feet), the upper floor 11.99 m (39 feet 4 inches). Am I misunderstanding something, or how does that look (elevations)?

Basement:
The entrance to the granny flat works well for active students. For older people, more space is needed, for example, for walkers, as well as significantly more room to move around and a good wardrobe. The closet space in the bedroom is insufficient, and due to the layout of the room, the space between the bed and the wall is also too tight. The route to the other living areas through hallways without natural light is not very appealing.

Ground floor:
The entrance is dark, and the rest feels like an inflated catalog floor plan.

Top floor:
For five people, one bathroom on the floor is not enough; even with the bathroom on the ground floor, congestion can occur. Considering the space used in the current design, this is hard to understand. Likewise, a master suite should be a given at this size, as it is more comfortable for everyone involved.

Outside:
Perhaps a bit of tidying up is needed.

Overall, inefficiency should be reduced and functionality improved.

@ Wanderdüne: What do you mean by "tidying up a bit outside"?

@milkie: oops, a mistake 🙂

Reduce window sizes and arrange them more harmoniously.

Reading error...

"Above," a 24 cm (9.5 inch) wall separates the storage room from the second staircase; "below," the building envelope finishes with the planned masonry thickness of 36.5 cm (14.4 inches), resulting in 11.99 meters (39.3 feet). Otherwise, it would look quite odd 😀

We want to make some changes to the bathroom in the attic, ideally with a T-layout (shower on the left / toilet on the right / sink at the front). However, we first need to check if the floor-to-ceiling window can be moved further. Otherwise, it will be a shower without a glass door...
