Hello everyone, we are currently building our house with Town & Country and have chosen the standard plumbing package.
Is it possible to install matching vanity units under all the sinks, or do you have to buy everything as a complete set?
It should be possible, right? You would just need to pay attention to the dimensions, which I think are fairly standard?
Has anyone done this before? If so, could you please respond and maybe share some pictures?
Best regards

Hmm well, my wife wasn’t really keen on thatOkay. Maybe you could clarify exactly what you want.
I think IKEA is generally a good option and can often be combined in various ways.
If you want furniture that fits very specific washbasins perfectly, it can become quite expensive and the options may be limited.
As soon as you place a countertop basin (wood, IKEA, etc.) on a surface, you have more freedom underneath; otherwise, everything needs to fit precisely!

Is it possible to install matching base cabinets under all types of sinks? No! If you get this oval design, nothing can be mounted underneath; you can only place something below. So, a regular bathroom vanity cabinet is possible, but not a built-in cabinet....

Chris199013 Apr 2021 09:21Thank you for your responses. We visited the bathroom showroom yesterday and were told that the standard series sink is not suitable for undermount installation. They offered us a double vanity with installation for €1300, from their in-house brand, but we find it a bit expensive.

Then remove the sink from the quote, buy one like that at Ikea, and have it installed on site by the craftsmen.
Check this beforehand. Yes, or I’m looking for a local plumber. The plumbing company didn’t want to take it on because they had bad experiences with it.

For example, Ikea has Godmorgen and similar units, which you can install yourself quite easily without professional training. My idea was to simply place a basin on top, which would make the process easier. Maybe you’ve only seen poorly done installations, but personally, I find these much more appealing, and you have the freedom to design as you wish.
