Who spends €15,000 on furniture???
We do – or at least close to that.
- New sofa €3,500
- New dining table €2,000
- 8 new dining chairs €3,200
- New box spring bed €1,500
and plenty of lamps, mirrors, etc.
I don’t find €15,000 that surprising now.
How much have you spent on new furniture?

Bought from Raumteiler24. I got the infill panels from the carpenter.
But I have also seen such systems at home improvement stores.Thanks. Which panels did you use?

daniels8724 Jul 2017 13:33Relatively thin particle boards with white decorative finish. We had a sample folder with over 100 finishes at home, but I prefer a more understated look.
The doors are easy to handle due to the thin boards (8mm (0.3 inches)). Stability is ensured by the frame.

I really like the 80/80 size.
May I ask which tile that exactly is?Nuovo Corso Tuscany Gris. Very easy to maintain, this color!

I have two expensive models where this doesn’t work well. The legs of the chairs are too flat to trigger the sensors, but high enough to stop every third pass...
from on the goI bought one of these in a moment of poor judgment. It was complete rubbish, so I returned it and now I vacuum myself again.
SHOW US YOUR CHAIRS 😀
I think I need to revive this thread.
My great Kare chairs are falling apart. Not the frame, not the upholstery... the faux leather is peeling off. It’s flaking everywhere. Where does this come from? Should I have been regularly conditioning them? My husband thinks it’s from my pants’ zippers (at the bottom), because I often lift one leg up...
Well, whatever: new chairs are needed. Reupholstering myself is not an option due to the shape.
And now all without trying them out 😎 Well, I already know the dimensions and angles that matter. I find cantilever chairs very comfortable. But somehow I can’t decide. I already ended up with Dutch suppliers...
Does anyone have experience with the cheap velvet upholstery? Is velvet just velvet? Or is there cheap velvet that isn’t really velvet, but looks like velvet (velour fabric)? Like how eco-leather is the new term for faux leather, but there are differences there too. I haven’t kept up with this stuff since Corona 🙁

Chairs are unfortunately expensive.
But if you look around a lot, even outside of furniture stores, you can find a chair for about €100 (~$110).
It also looks good to mix many old chairs. Often you can refresh them nicely with a new coat of paint, reupholster, or polish them to a high gloss. You don’t need an old wooden farmhouse as a house; even in a modern new build, this is a way to add a personal touch.
