Hello everyone,
Our shared apartment kitchen is made up of pieces from our parents' kitchens. As a result, we now have a lot of wasted space under our sink. We want to find a solution through Ikea to create at least some storage there. Do you have any ideas? Unfortunately, we are completely lacking creativity.
Thank you very much in advance!

IKEA-Experte24 Mar 2015 14:15Hello, how much space is there below between the sink and the washing machine? Is it 80 cm (31.5 inches) in height up to the countertop or including the countertop?
What is the distance between the washing machine and the stove extension, and between the stove extension and the washing machine?

I have now obtained the exact measurements.
The countertop is at a height of 86 cm (lower edge).
The distance from the washing machine to the corner is 40 cm (15.7 inches).
The distance from the oven to the corner is 24 cm (9.4 inches).
Thanks for your help so far 🙂
So the countertop is too deep for the pull-out cabinet 🙁

With the door, it would be 61.5 cm (24 inches). If you leave it out, that would be sufficient. In that case, you would definitely make optimal use of the space.
Next to it, you could either place a trash bin or perhaps stackable boxes.
Color-coordinated with the painted walls...

Alternatively, you could build a cabinet from planks and doors.
Otherwise, I can’t think of anything else for now. 😕
