There is a dedicated thread for houses here, but it takes such a long time from buying the plot until you can finally share something that looks like a developing house in that thread. Maybe you would like to share your excitement about the “acquired” plot and a photo of the land here in the forum.
Below is a photo of the plot belonging to me and my husband, located in the Leipzig area, approximately 570 sqm (6135 sq ft). Behind the house is a field, and beyond that, a forest.

The village currently consists of about 200 houses, with 25 new ones being added now, but you’re right, there is quite a lot of photovoltaic energy... though I have no idea why.
I don’t know of any additional local incentives in Bavaria... but that would be good for our planned build 🙂

There was or still is the 10,000 Houses Program in Bavaria. It must have existed over 10 years ago as well. Some people here installed photovoltaic systems on barns and the like back then. Maybe it was simply a solar installer who calculated good returns and successfully promoted the whole thing.

Is there local funding available, or is this an eco-showcase village?Simply smart people who know how to do the math.;)For storage systems, there is C.A.R.M.E.N. funding available in Bavaria.

Show some more pictures of the plot here...Great, work has already started at your place. I’m still waiting for the building permit / planning permission. Have you already received yours? The plot currently has full basic infrastructure... everything else is still to come.
No, the agreed appointments with the architect and construction companies will all take place starting in January... provided that the COVID situation allows.
The final surveying of the plot by the local authorities is also still pending or has been postponed until early next year.
After that, we will first conduct a detailed survey to determine the elevation levels so that we know how to manage the slope.

Wow, nice view. What immediately caught my attention is that almost every roof has solar panels installed. Is there a local incentive for this, or is it some kind of eco-friendly model village? In the south, the weather isn’t as bad as up in the north 😉 . It simply makes sense there, and about 10 years ago there was a big solar panel boom. Anyone with some equity installed one because the government guaranteed the returns.Similar topics
