There is a dedicated thread for houses here, but it takes such a long time from buying the plot until you can finally share something that looks like a developing house in that thread. Maybe you would like to share your excitement about the “acquired” plot and a photo of the land here in the forum.

Below is a photo of the plot belonging to me and my husband, located in the Leipzig area, approximately 570 sqm (6135 sq ft). Behind the house is a field, and beyond that, a forest.

Yes, or a general contractor who specializes in hillside houses.
You need a residential basement. No more square meters than necessary. If you add 100 square meters (1,076 square feet) for building services, gym, storage underneath, it will become expensive.
Move away from a city villa with an attached garage.

Thank you. Relevant appointments are already scheduled.

Get rid of the city villa with an attached garage.

Luckily, I don’t need to get rid of anything since I haven’t committed to that yet.

I agree about the basement; it just has to be 100% watertight. That’s not a problem as long as no poor workmanship occurs (damaged wall, faulty drainage, etc.).

And as you already mentioned—maybe a small living space for a home office or children’s room with a front-facing window, plus a technical room.

Complete living spaces. On the lower level, we have an open-plan room, entrance, guest toilet, and building services area.

The rear wall uses the belt-and-brace approach. White wall, black waterproofed on the outside, drainage and gravel between the wall and the slope.

And now I feel that an architect might not always be the right person to turn to.
Of course, the architect needs to consider the site. Go to one who already has experience with hanger construction and, above all, is genuinely interested in you and your project—not just your money.

Here are some recent photos of the building plot...

Wow, nice view. What immediately caught my attention is that almost every roof has photovoltaic panels installed. Is there a local incentive program, or is this an eco-friendly showcase village?
