There is a dedicated thread for houses here, but it takes such a long time from buying the plot until you can finally share something that looks like a developing house in that thread. Maybe you would like to share your excitement about the “acquired” plot and a photo of the land here in the forum.

Below is a photo of the plot belonging to me and my husband, located in the Leipzig area, approximately 570 sqm (6135 sq ft). Behind the house is a field, and beyond that, a forest.

Two semi-detached houses? So 11 m (36 feet) width each half?

The other plot on the left is slightly larger (330m² (3550 sq ft)), but narrower at the front and wider at the back, and it is a corner plot. I find it a bit nicer, but somehow I didn’t have a choice.
On the north side, there is an adjacent pedestrian and bicycle path, which is expected to have low traffic.

Here is mine.
We are dividing it; my (front) half extends roughly to the end of the shed next to the garage.
All existing structures will be demolished...

Garden behind the house with empty round pool, construction debris, and rubble.

Garden behind residential house: brick wall, wooden gate, climbing plants, large sparse tree, foliage.

Garden with overgrown vegetation, blue round pool, and brick garage in the background.

But you can still use the pool.

Yes, theoretically. However, personally, I find it too large.
I briefly considered using it as a cistern and burying it (there is a short thread about this here as well), but in the end, it would have been far too complicated.
The demolition contractors who came for the inspection even joked that water should be put in first so they could refresh themselves. This will most likely all start in the summer...
