Hello,
we have only attended our first construction consultation to get a quote.
The only differences are no conservatory, an air-to-water heat pump, and a carport with an extended roof along the length of 8m (26 feet).
The total price for this would be a hefty 215,000 euros.
What interests me now, and where I’m not entirely confident, is why this house is so expensive. A couple of friends built a similar house, brick by brick, for 180,000 euros.
Best regards & thanks

Baustelle201614 Mar 2016 23:07But one year until construction starts is really tough... And it somehow doesn’t match the urgently requested date. I would definitely think that through carefully. Not all companies operate like that. For us, the contract was signed in January, and this Thursday (weather permitting) the foundation slab will be poured. Of course, we started our personal planning much earlier (September 15).

Baustelle201614 Mar 2016 23:12I should add that we signed a separate planning contract in October, after which the architect started working on the preliminary design. The detailed construction planning was carried out after signing the main contract.
Last year, we also explored the topic of prefabricated houses and contacted all the providers. There were attempts to pressure us into signing quickly, which fortunately did not work out. After many comparisons, it became clear why we were being rushed.
Do yourself a favor and take your time. You will probably never make such a costly purchase again.
Our planning started in May 2015. We took our time and carefully considered everything. In the end, we shifted from a prefabricated house to a solid (brick or concrete) house and from a company to an architect. So, completely different from what we originally intended. Now, this Thursday, our foundation slab will be poured.
Wishing you good luck and perseverance!
