Now I am a bit puzzled again.
I wanted to install a 60cm (24 inch) Rationell light fixture under a 60cm (24 inch) wall cabinet. So I need the separate connection cable. That part is clear. However, my power supply comes from above (is that unusual?) and I would have to run the cable through or behind the cabinet. That’s fine, but the on/off switch is not on the light itself, it’s on the cable! And that means it would hang right inside the cabinet. Are there any solutions for this, or is there a different lighting version that would be more suitable?
Best regards, Birte

I’ll just bring everything there on Monday and let them try it out.
That’s what I wanted to do as well—I had the same with my old Ikea kitchen—but I can’t unplug the connector to pull it through the cabinet... and unfortunately, I have to go through the cabinet, not behind it, because the cabinet rests on the tile backsplash at the bottom.
Edit
I can also take a photo tomorrow; maybe you have a good idea of the most “neat” way to do the wiring.

IKEA-Experte16 May 2015 23:29The cable from the bypass transformer to the light fixture must also be routed somehow behind the cabinet...
Other than behind the cabinet, essentially the only option left is alongside the cabinet at the end of the row.

At the end of the row... it would be at the back of the sink, I’ll think about it tomorrow, thanks! Otherwise, it would just be inside the cabinet. Maybe I’ll install a cable conduit above it so it doesn’t look too awkward...
No, I don’t know that yet, I’ll check it out right away!

IKEA-Experte17 May 2015 17:12I would slightly rout or saw out a section from the edge at the bottom of the cabinet and chisel it out just enough to make space for the cable. If there is too much cable left between the switch and the light that cannot be stored properly, you can use the short Ansluta connection cable, cut it, connect a 2-pole inline cord switch, and run a cable with a plug from the switch. If you also use a right-angle plug, the space between the socket and the back panel is probably sufficient.
