Hello,
I have been researching for over two weeks now to find a dishwasher that fits my open kitchen (Metod). I have already seen the general discussion thread as well as the very long thread about dishwasher fronts. However, I am still a bit overwhelmed. My question is: Is there currently a quiet dishwasher available with a variable hinge and a cutlery drawer? My budget is a maximum of 550€ (about 590 USD). The most important thing is that the dishwasher is quiet since I have an open kitchen, and of course, that it cleans the dishes well 🙂

Neff S72P69X0EU. You can’t get more for the money.I have that model too, but I would now buy the Neff S726T80X1E. It’s a bit more expensive, but not significantly. However, it features zeolite drying and a more modern control system (touch controls and LCD display). It also comes with a few additional gimmicks...

silvermir6 Feb 2017 20:18I ended up choosing the Siemens SX758X06TE. I ended up increasing the budget a bit. The decision was mainly based on the Wi-Fi and smart home capabilities of the Siemens model. I would have liked to have the interior lighting as well, but I couldn’t find any appliance with the specified features that fits into my IKEA kitchen. 🙁

Sorry, whenever I read something like this, I always think of Asterix and Obelix... those guys are crazy...
I’m really quite tech-savvy, I work in the industry, and my home is equipped with very modern technology.
But when I read that someone wants to control their dishwasher with their phone or whatever, from wherever, it just drives me crazy.
What do you think about that nonsense?
Apart from the fact that alarm systems from some manufacturers with smart home functions actually make break-ins easier.
Best regards, robi

silvermir7 Feb 2017 09:19For the dishwasher, I'm interested in checking its status via Alexa. I don't feel like looking every time to see how long it will take to finish. 🙂 I also wouldn’t want to unlock my front door through a smart home system 🙂 I work as an automation specialist, so maybe that's why I'm interested in this :p

IKEA-Experte7 Feb 2017 14:44By the time I manage to overcome my procrastination to unload the dishwasher, it has usually finished a long time ago, or I turn it on in the evening and unload it sometime the next day. In that case, a notification for the end of the cycle is completely unnecessary.
