Hello everyone,
I would like to install indirect lighting in our living room. It should be mounted on the walls.
Do you have any recommendations for profiles that offer good value for money, or have you even created a custom solution using drywall or similar materials?
Thanks and best regards,
Julian

I have installed Philips Hue throughout the entire house. Simply place an LED strip behind existing furniture (sideboard, dresser, TV). Cheaper options from hardware stores would work as well, but the control with Hue is definitely more convenient.
Alternatively, you can partially lower the ceiling or build a feature wall unit to install indirect lighting.
Another option is to use decorative molding or frosted glass profiles. Personally, I don’t find that very appealing, but of course, that’s just a matter of taste.

They just require narrow grooves to be milled into the wall.
