ᐅ Issues with the Ikea Pax Sliding Door

Hello dear forum members,

after nearly finishing furnishing our apartment (90% of the furniture is from the Swedish furniture store), we are now having some trouble with the Pax wardrobe right at the end.

It is a Pax with sliding doors (left side Ilseng dark brown, right side AULI mirrored glass).

In the instructions (steps 9 to 12), the four individual wooden panels on the Ilseng side are supposed to be clamped into the metal frame. However, we just can’t manage to screw the panels tightly together. They keep falling out. It almost seems like the panels don’t fit well into the rubber gasket. Is there a trick to this, or are we just a bit "clumsy"?

I’ve watched some videos online, and it always looks so easy there.

We managed to assemble the cabinet body and the interior fittings well. Sooner or later, the challenge had to come.

Thank you for the link. I thought I had used the forum search correctly, but I missed it.

After cutting out the rubber seal with a utility knife, the panels fit in more easily. The first door is done. On to the second one!
