Oh yes... I also don’t like the windows in the shower. But the architect says they are necessary because the large one can only be tilted open. ???

What are your solutions?

Thank you

You should first provide all the information requested in the thread I linked.

Then maybe share a current plan with the parapet heights and one or two elevations? 😉 That raises the question of why the bathroom window at the top of the plan can only be tilted open. And just ask the architect if they can come by and dry the windows after showering. *shakes head* ... what kind of statement is that?

And why does that child have to be in the north? That doesn’t make sense to me based on your explanation.

Hello, I would think carefully about having an open staircase. After living for seven years in a house with a staircase in the living room, we have intentionally built differently. The options for privacy are limited, while noise disturbance is much greater. It’s also not very energy efficient (in our case, it was also open to the basement).

We all like the open staircase. Of course, we have considered it and left the option open to install a glass door later if we find that it feels too open and heat escapes. We don’t have a basement.

Yes, I am new here and just posted the floor plan spontaneously to get some opinions. I will follow up and upload the remaining requested information later (I just haven’t had the time yet).

The reason why the older child’s room is located on the north side is simple: since he often has friends over, sometimes late and noisy, neither we nor he want to be directly adjacent to that. I prefer the younger child, who goes to bed at eight, to be next door. That is the only reason.

Thanks for your tips and questions... I will consult my architect tomorrow and bombard them with questions.
