Kork-Problem13 Oct 2022 13:32Hello,
here are our experiences with Naturo Cork.
As a professional company, we installed a cork click flooring from Naturo Kork AG (Switzerland). The installed area looks as if the panels are warped.
After reporting the defect, we removed and returned the material. New cork click flooring was delivered with the instruction that after installation, initial care should be performed using the product: Naturo Kork Hot Coating Plus POLISH Initial and Intermediate Care Product.
We then installed the new cork click flooring and applied the polish. The result was hardly any better and still very unsatisfactory. Additional effort on our part: 5 hours!
Now, after about a month, Naturo Kork AG has informed us that there are no defects in the material...
Attached are pictures of the surface. So, if you don’t like a surface like this, you should prefer other suppliers and avoid Naturo Kork AG.
How would you like a surface like this?

Hello questioner,
without relying on a measurement of the warping: something here is definitely wrong! The visual surface appearance is unacceptable, as it differs significantly from what is usual for similar floor coverings.
My suggestion would be to carefully remove at least one of the warped panels, as large as possible and without causing vibrations, and determine the size of the convex warping while considering the panel dimensions.
What the manufacturer says or thinks about the type and extent of the warping does not matter! No one ordered a floor like the one shown in the pictures and does not have to accept this condition.
The history of the floor must of course also be taken into account, meaning whether the screed was possibly not yet ready for installation (i.e., too moist when the covering was laid). Such warping usually results from this kind of issue.
However, in such a case, the manufacturer would have stronger support in a legal dispute.
So:
Remove one panel, immediately check if the screed surface is still moist (it usually dries within a few minutes after the covering is removed), and measure the amount of warping.
Regards, KlaRa

The cork click flooring was installed in a 30-year-old eco-friendly wooden house on a fir strip floor. Moisture is absolutely ruled out. In addition, the photos were taken immediately after installation, not weeks later. So moisture can be excluded.
I could not observe any warping of the elements on site. If present, it might only be detectable in a laboratory.
Does anyone else have experience with natural cork?
