ᐅ My KALLAX unit has been wobbly since I moved it—how can I stabilize it?

Hello everyone,
Since I last rearranged my KALLAX shelving unit, I’ve noticed that one of the modules is noticeably wobbly. It’s a standard 2x2 combination that was stable before, but after moving it, the single element now feels unstable and tends to rock with slight pressure. The unit is placed on a flat laminate floor, and I haven’t made any changes to the shelf itself, other than relocating it.
I suspect that either the surface it’s sitting on has changed slightly or that one of the joints might not be fully tightened anymore. Does anyone have experience or tips on how to quickly and effectively improve the stability of modules like this? I’d prefer to avoid drilling or making major alterations.
Thanks in advance for your advice!

I just checked with a small mirror underneath, and it really looks like one corner is slightly resting while the opposite corner is almost slightly lifted. This confirms the suspicion that floor unevenness is causing the wobbling.
A common issue with laminate or hardwood floors: even the smallest irregularities are enough to make shelves tip.
Therefore, I recommend a combination of:
- High-quality felt pads of varying thicknesses, which you can adjust precisely to the low spots
- Possibly self-adhesive rubber strips, which also provide some slip resistance
If your KALLAX unit consists of several assembled parts, an additional internal connecting board or an angle bracket inside the unit can significantly improve stability. You can install these connectors yourself without negatively affecting the furniture's appearance.
If you want, I can gladly provide you with a more detailed technical guide for installation.

For multiple modules, it is recommended to connect them togetherThat is not an option for me at the moment, as I have only moved the single module.
If the wobbling doesn’t completely stop, I will also consider the optional wall mounting, even though it would be a bit more effort right now.
I will be happy to share feedback once I have tried it.
