Hello everyone, I have recently assembled some Malm furniture from Ikea and find the provided instructions somewhat unclear and impractical – especially when several parts look very similar or when the step sequences are not intuitive.
Therefore, my question to the community is: In your experience, are there better instructions or alternative tips for assembling Malm furniture that are clearer, more precise, or more effective?
I am particularly interested in advice or resources that help reduce common pitfalls and simplify the process efficiently. Perhaps someone knows of summarized or supplementary guides, videos, or even apps that are genuinely helpful.
I look forward to your experiences and recommendations!

A "better" manual would need to be more targeted to the specific user groupExactly. Ikea seems stuck on this because the illustrated instructions have to be produced as cheaply as possible. Alternatively, you can have the manual created by third-party providers, but they are often unreasonably expensive.
To put it provocatively: if you don’t understand the Ikea instructions, it’s better to get someone to help. Assembling the furniture seems more like a social event than a solitary DIY task. 😄
If you encounter problems, simply stop at each step and compare all screws and parts. Also, avoid overestimating your abilities when a step seems complicated. It’s better to double-check everything.
If someone is looking for a better guide, consistent organization and careful cross-referencing usually help more than an alternative manual.

Would you happen to have a specific channel or link?Sure, Axel58 – check out "Ikea Hackers" on YouTube; they often have well-prepared assembly videos, especially for Malm.
Also, the "Ikea Assembly Helper" app I mentioned before is worth recommending. It offers step-by-step instructions along with comments and tips from other users, which really makes the assembly easier.
And honestly, a bit of humor during the build helps too, so you don’t get frustrated and give up right away. 😊
