Hello everyone,

As part of our new single-family house construction, we had the utility connections for electricity, water, and cable TV (Vodafone) installed last week. We have deliberately decided not to connect to the German Telekom network for now.

The entry point into the house is also designed for these three connections. Additionally, at the same location, we had an empty conduit (microduct) installed for fiber optic cable to allow for a potential future upgrade to fiber without having to dig up the ground at the house entrance again.

Since there was no space planned within the house entry for the microduct, it was supposed to remain outside the house so that it could be pulled inside if needed. In my opinion, the construction company executed the conduit too short, making it impossible to route it into the house now. At least a loop or some extra length should have been added.

Can you tell me if the mentioned microduct conduit can be extended so that it would be possible to connect it into the house later if necessary?

A picture of the whole setup is attached. The microduct is the orange cable.

Thank you very much in advance for your replies.
