Heidi196531 Jul 2021 21:28In our new house, there is a study/hobby room. I would like to place a desk/workbench across the entire width in front of the window (2.68 m, 8.8 ft) to use both my PC and my sewing machine there.
But now this doesn’t seem very practical. I would have to move everything forward to clean the window. Or would it be better to have two desks with a walkway left in the middle?
I look forward to your examples.

To be able to give advice, you would need to see the floor plan.
We have planned the desk to be positioned against the side wall.

Heidi19651 Aug 2021 12:09Have you really thought it through, having a PC and a sewing machine side by side? I originally wanted them both at one table as well, but when sewing or cutting fabric, lint tends to fly around. A PC doesn’t like that at all. So I ended up placing them differently in my setup.
And yes, as mentioned before, whether sewing or working at a screen, lighting from the front is usually more of a hindrance. It often causes uncomfortable glare.
