Wishing you all a sunny day 😎
We are in the final stages before submitting the building permit / planning permission. While we wait for the structural engineer, we are focusing on the bathroom fixtures.
We have been working with the Villeroy & Boch planner and now have three options to choose from.
Which option do you think is best?
Or do you have any suggestions for adjustments?
The laundry chute cannot be moved in the bathroom (it is connected to the attic bathroom above and the utility room below). For option 1, we would prefer to relocate the laundry chute to the hallway (between the bathroom and bedroom walls) because, in my opinion, the position next to the toilet is a disaster 😉
Thank you very much in advance for all your tips and suggestions.
Good luck

So. We have decided on the new version with the niche. This fits easily with the rest of the floor plan. As a result, we gain a small built-in cleaning closet in the hallway. We sent the bathroom layout to the architect and, of course, hope everything works out as planned.
We attached our inspirational pictures from the internet. The bathroom size is exactly the same (at least if you consider the tiles as 60cm x 60cm (24 inches x 24 inches)), so there is enough space for everything, as you can see. 😀
Thank you very much for your comments!

I really like this, especially the color combination 😀 (it seems to work well with everything, if it ends up looking like this later, great!)
The sauna is also showcased really well, you should definitely keep the indirect lighting...
However, I would personally skip the window in that spot and plan for a wall-mounted radiator or towel rail instead.

Yes, it might be tight. But don’t you usually have the mirror light on anyway (for example, as a woman 😉)
I imagine it feels cozier... in the area near the door/sauna it is definitely darker than in the photo (Photoshop), but it should be enough for the small toilet 🙂
Where is the window located? Facing north? We have a window strip on the north side for about 10 square meters (approximately 108 square feet) of room... it provides enough daylight during the day, and in the evening and morning the light is on (as mentioned before: mirror light for getting ready). This has only been tested for the last two months since we have only recently moved in.

The light strip on the east side. A separate electric towel warmer might already make sense, especially for the time when the underfloor heating is not yet on. And you’re right: no matter how bright it is, the mirror light is on 😉
So let’s see what we decide and thanks a thousand!

I have to be honest, I find our electric radiator more than unnecessary. It takes ages to warm up. So you can't just turn it on quickly, and by the time the child gets out of the bath, it’s warm...
We mostly use it just to hang our towels, but that could be done with a regular towel rail.
I would never get one of these again.
Regarding underfloor heating: it runs all year round but adjusts its heating power depending on whether it’s warm or cold outside.
