ᐅ IKEA Sultan Forestad Mattress: A Replacement Option for Back Pain?

yokeaHello,
I bought a bed/mattress, etc., from the previous tenant. Everything is from IKEA:
Bed IKEA DALSELV
Mattress IKEA SULTAN Forestad 160x200cm (63x79 inches)
Roll-up slatted frame
I can’t sleep well on it and often wake up with back pain.
I thought I should buy a new slatted frame AND a new mattress. Is that correct? Or would just one be enough? (And if so, which one?). Do I also need a new bed frame?
According to my online research, the Forestad mattress I already have is supposed to be quite good… but as I said, I don’t sleep well on it. When I visit my girlfriend, I sleep a thousand times better! And it’s not just because of her 🙂
I’m also worried that if I buy a new slatted frame and/or mattress, the overall height might be too high for the bed frame. Is that a big problem if it happens? Should I then also get a new bed frame?
My goal, of course, is to sleep well without spending too much money.
Thanks in advance

To me, it sounds like you need a new mattress... If I were you, I would just go to the nearest IKEA and ask for advice there. They know best how to combine things so that everything fits perfectly. That way, you don’t have to worry about it at all 🙂
