Was it a series, meaning with different options, or just a single shelf?
If it was a series, then I’m pretty sure it’s Ivar. If it was a single shelf, I think the name was different. I’m not certain on that. Twenty years ago, I hadn’t even thought about my first own apartment, let alone IKEA.
But respect, 20 years old and still in such good condition— not even all cars manage that. It’s basically a classic.

But it’s supposed to be 100% an IKEA shelf unit ??!!
At some point, there was such a shelf unit, for example from RS Kiefer something... I can only remember RS as the company name.

I am also looking for replacement shelves for an Ikea shelving unit that is about 20 years old. It has chrome-plated steel tube frames shaped like ladders. The white laminated shelves are hung between the ladder frames using metal eyelets. The shelves measure approximately 81 x 41 cm (32 x 16 inches) and have rounded cutouts in the corners so they fit perfectly between the steel tubes.
I need at least three more of these shelves. Does anyone know the name of this shelving unit or can offer any tips on where to find replacement shelves?
