cybridHello dear community,
I want to get an IKEA kitchen and install my own appliances.
So far, I haven’t figured out how the door height relates to the total cabinet height.
I also don’t understand why IKEA doesn’t provide this information, or maybe I just missed it.
I’ve sent an inquiry to IKEA, but the response could take up to 14 days.
Can someone please tell me the door height of at least the lower 2 doors of the following cabinets:
Cabinet number: ME 724
2.4 meters (7 ft 10 in) with 3 doors
Cabinet number: ME 719
2.2 meters (7 ft 3 in) with 3 doors
Cabinet number: ME 725
2.4 meters (7 ft 10 in) with 3 doors
2.2 meters (7 ft 3 in) with 2 doors
Cabinet number: ME 720
Cabinet number: ME 718
2.2 meters (7 ft 3 in) with 2 doors
Cabinet number: ME 715
2.0 meters (6 ft 7 in) with 2 doors
Thank you very much in advance. I appreciate any information.

IKEA-Experte4 Jan 2016 16:14Hello, these are all configurations designed for IKEA appliances. The buying guide lists the model names of the IKEA models.
For appliances from other manufacturers, it’s best to assemble the cabinet yourself from individual parts. Always choose the next larger door size. For example, the lower door requires a front height of at least 68 cm (27 inches), so you would select an 80 cm (31 inch) door. The upper door needs a minimum of 123 cm (48 inches), so a 140 cm (55 inch) tall door is required. The cabinet body must therefore be at least 220 cm (87 inches) tall. The appliance is installed so that the center between the appliance doors aligns with the gap between the cabinet doors.

Ok, thanks for the answers. I think I understand it now.
The bottom door is always 80cm (31.5 inches) high to start with.
The total height determines the size of the top door.
Then there is a version with a bottom door that is 10 or 20 cm (4 or 8 inches) taller.
I can’t tell exactly from the pictures.
Except for the cabinets with three doors.
There, the top door is about 30-40 cm (12-16 inches) high, and the middle door is correspondingly smaller.
That’s roughly how I’m getting it.
I have a roller shutter box that’s in the way and want a 0-degree compartment in the fridge.
All of this causes problems because these refrigerators are usually very tall. I’m now looking for a solution.
Three doors don’t give the desired result. I know that now.
Thanks to you all.
