Dear IKEA fans,
Yesterday, we assembled about 40 Maximera drawers. All of them are “real” drawers, meaning no hidden or internal drawers. There are low, medium, and high drawers.
Now we have a problem with the different types of drawer slides. Some have an integrated soft-close damper (red plastic on the rail), while others have dampers that need to be hooked in at the back during assembly. What is the difference between these?
Most recently, I installed a high 80cm (31.5 inches) drawer using the factory-fitted slides with the red soft-close dampers, but it sticks and doesn’t work properly. The slides with the separate dampers run smoothly...
Can someone help me? That would be great!
Best regards,
Judith
