I’m having trouble with the IKEA Malm dresser with 4 drawers. I’m at step 11, but somehow these panels don’t fit. There are 4 panels, but we can’t get them attached as shown in the instructions.
I’m hoping for quick help 🙂

Could it be that you are mistaking the drawer liners for the back panels? That almost happened to us at first as well.
We only have three drawers, and there should be two particleboard panels for the back. Unfortunately, one was missing, so we ended up assembling it with just one back panel. I hope you have both. Since the shelving units are similar (I saw the 4-piece set at IKEA Wallau), you should have two particleboard panels, each with two small cutouts along the top edge. These cutouts face outward because that’s where the wall mounting goes through. 🙂 Check the package.
