Hello,
I recently bought the LAGAN DW60 dishwasher and was about to install it, but I realized the water inlet hose is too short to connect to the faucet.
Does IKEA offer an original longer hose for purchase? There are many extension hoses available online, but I specifically need one with the Aquastop, as generic hoses don’t include it. I don’t want to do without it.
The manual states that an extension hose up to 4 m (13 ft) can be used. I don’t need that much length, only about 80-100 cm (31-39 inches) more would be enough. But what exactly does that mean?
“Faucet - extension with metal hose max. 4 m (13 ft) - original water inlet hose Aquastop”?
or
“Faucet - replacement water inlet hose Aquastop”?
Since the DW60 apparently comes from Whirlpool, would a compatible hose from them fit as well?
Or should I just go to IKEA and ask directly?
Thank you in advance.

Nayla_106818 Mar 2013 22:51Hi,
thanks for the link, but unfortunately the search for hoses comes up empty. The water does not turn black, at least not with IKEA devices. The hose is double-walled and triggers a compressed sponge that stops the water supply. After that, the hose is worn out and needs to be replaced. The device itself also has a tray with a float, so if water flows back, the float triggers and the device stops pumping. Both mechanisms also work when the device is switched on. So there is double safety.
Regarding ordering a replacement hose again. That's right, the device is from E-Lux, so please contact them directly. The number is in the user manual. Usually, you only get an extension since one hose with an aquastop is sufficient. A completely new 4m (13 ft) hose can also be obtained on request, but it will of course cost significantly more.

IKEA-Experte18 Mar 2013 23:09I was curious about the purpose of the black color.
From the website: Multiple water protection system; detects leaking water locally and then automatically stops the water supply.
From the user manual: The device features a special water inlet hose with safety stop (Aquastop). Aquastop water inlet hose
The inlet hose is high-pressure resistant and designed for pressures up to 6 MPa (870 psi). The hose has an outer casing that protects it from damage. If the inner hose is damaged, the water inside the hose will appear dark. This is visible through the transparent outer casing. In such a case, immediately turn off the water tap and contact your local customer service.
It apparently combines all of the above features.

Nayla_106819 Mar 2013 13:22Hi,
I checked the hose and aquastop directly with the manufacturer and tested them together with one of their engineers. The water stop from an IKEA device was also simulated. It is true that the double-walled hose was transparent; however, there was no dark discoloration of the water. The only safety feature was the opening of the sponge inside the hose, which you can see through a small window on the hose.
IKEA expert, since you mentioned you found this information on the website. From E-Lux or IKEA? E-Lux or AEG is advanced and a pioneer in many innovations and patents, but IKEA does not purchase everything from them. Therefore, I simply assume that in this case it is just about the sponge inside the hose.
Best regards

Maverick185421 Mar 2013 07:49So: I bought the DWTI 60 a year ago and only received a hose without transparency. Maybe that version exists now, but I doubt it. Anyway:
If the hose should leak, both versions have the aqua-stop feature, and that should be sufficient, right???
