Hello,
we have the same problem: the wall is supposed to be on the right side, and the ladder can be on the left or right.
Due to the differently sized recesses in the wood, this doesn't seem to be intended – or I simply don’t see the solution.
Rotating the entire bed would place the ladder at the back, where our room wall is. So that’s not a solution.
Maybe someone else has an idea or the solution?
Thanks in advance!

My experience with Ikea loft beds – including the Kura – is that the instructions may not always be completely clear, but the product itself is very well thought out. This means the bed can definitely be assembled, even if the manual doesn’t clearly explain the process.
However, the closed wall panel will always be on the ladder side unless you make modifications yourself.
