Hello,
I would trust the cabinet hangers less than the IKEA system because the sides of Besta are hollow, and you would be attaching the hangers only to thin hardboard panels.
As an alternative, I am more inclined to consider the Hettich SAH 215.

Hi!

Thanks for your reply!
The system was just an example; it really depends on where exactly these "hard fiberboard strips" are located. Is there any way to find out where exactly they are installed?
In the Ikea system, the forces are also transferred through the plastic parts and these strips, right?
I just don’t trust the short plastic pins...

Best regards, Chris

The “outer shell” of Besta is made of thin hardboard panels. For internal reinforcement, strips of particleboard are glued inside to provide secure anchoring points for screws and similar fasteners.
If you now want to screw your SAH14 holder somewhere, there is a good chance that the screws will miss the particleboard strips and only go into the hardboard (where they will tear out under load).

Hello,
not to sound like a smart aleck, but dowels can also be used for these purposes.

What use is a cavity anchor if the forces then act again on the 2mm (0.08 inch) thick hardboard?

The chipboard strips are located where the holes for the shelves or the drawer slides are. The edge behind the back panel should also be made of this material, as that is where the IKEA bracket attaches.

Except for the specified areas, there will be nothing else, otherwise everything could just be made of particle board. That’s why the carcasses are so light that the tall carcass, even when unloaded, tips over with a door open.
